Save Your New Desktop as Your Default Homepage

Your homepage is the first web page that opens when you start your web browser. It can be changed to any page you wish including MyCityExplorer.com
by following the instructions below. (Use the instructions specific for your web browser!)

Internet Explorer Windows

  1. Within Internet Explorer, click the "Tools" menu and choose "Options"

  2. In the "Home page" section,
    replace the current link with the following: http://www.mycityexplorer.com/_themes/default.php

  3. Click "OK"

Safari Mac OS X

  1. Within Safari, click the "Safari" menu and choose "Preferences."

  2. In the dialog box that appears, click "General."

  3. Type the address of the web page you wish to use in the "Home page" box

    replace the current link with the following:http://www.mycityexplorer.com/_themes/default.php

  4. Click the red "Close" control in the upper left-hand corner of the window to save your changes.

Internet Explorer Mac OS 9 and OS X

  1. Within Internet Explorer, click the "Explorer" menu and choose "Preferences." (In OS 9, "Preferences" is located in the "Edit" menu.)

  2. In the dialog box that appears, click "Browser Display."

  3. Type the address of the web page you wish to use in the "Address" box.

    replace the current link with the following:http://www.mycityexplorer.com/_themes/default.php

  4. Click "OK."

FireFox All Versions

  1. Within Firefox, click the "Tools" menu and choose "Options."

  2. In the dialog box that appears, click "General."

  3. Type the address of the web page you wish to use in the "Locations" box.http://www.mycityexplorer.com/_themes/default.php

  4. Click "OK."

Chrome

  1. Click on the Chrome "wrench" icon, located in the upper right hand corner of your browser window.
    When the drop-down menu appears, select the choice labeled "Options".

  2. Click on the "Basics" tab if it is not already selected.
    In the middle of the dialog is the "Home Page" section,
    featuring three choices involving your browser's home page setting.

  3. The first choice, selected by default, is "Use the New Tab page".
    Chrome's New Tab page displays titles and thumbnail images of the websites which you visit the most often as well as links to the three tabs which you have most recently closed.

  4. The second item in the Home Page section of Chrome's Basic Options is labeled
    "Open this page". If you would like to set your browser's home page to MyCityExplorer.com, select this option and enter the appropriate address.

  5. The third item in the Home Page section of Google's Basic Options is a check box labeled "Show Home button on the toolbar". Disabled by default, this setting will display a Home Page button on Chrome's toolbar. The button is placed directly to the left of the browser's address bar. To add this button to your toolbar, simply check the box and click on the Close button.
